Day 1 - Arrival to the Island of Enchantment

Arrive in SJU airport in the afternoon and walk out into tropical breezes.  A few steps from the exit you’ll be greeted by Ash with cool drinks and refreshments for your quick (35 minute) trip to our beach front accommodations, the colorful and welcoming “Playa Azul” our own beach home for the next 7 nights.  Our first evening is a stress-free introduction to beach life, island time, and integrating with the tropics, own home, and each other.  Our Grounded in Gratitude Playshop & Sacred Earth Connection Practice will be a short meditation session offered before sunset on the beach.  A delicious and healthful dinner of Puerto Rican cuisine is provided on-site for our evening meal.  Ocean sounds will soothe you to sleep.

Day 2 - Luquillo’s Best

Welcome to the most gorgeous sunrise of your day.  We enjoy early morning meditation, coffee, tea, and quiet time to honor the sanctity of the morning hours.  Awaken your Spirit with an ocean side movement practice followed by a tropical breakfast at the house.  Our first day is an orientation of the options in the immediate area.  We head out to explore Luquillo in a guided tour of the downtown, the central plaza, and the surfer beach La Pared.  We will be near food trucks, air-conditioned restaurants, and our favorite surfer restaurant for lunch options.  We regroup at dinner time for the community salsa gathering in the plaza.  Beach walks to oceanside restaurants and unlimited car rides available until you’re feeling satisfied and ready for a restful night with REAL ocean waves to rock you to sleep.

Day 3 - El Yunque

The jungle calls and we must GO!  This is our early morning rise day and you’ll know why as we enjoy a tranquil rain-forest bathing experience in El Yunque.  Optional short hike, water blessing, beauty sessions and deep nature connection.  After we receive our fill of beauty and nourishing snacks we’ll leave this national forest treasure before lunch and pass crowds of tourists just arriving.  We stop at our favorite fresh food restaurant, 18 Degrees Juice Bar, you could indulge in a leisurely lunch and the patio here, or chose another restaurant option nearby.   There is an authentic Puerto Rican bakery, and a few shops on the same block as the Juice bar.  The afternoon is for rest and reflection back and at our beach home.  Planing for dinner is your in care for the moment.  Order in pizza?  Try out another kiosco?  Rest your belly after vegan empanadas for lunch and enjoy a homemade pina colada for dinner?  Your choice.

Day 4 - El Balnerio

Greet the day with your friends, fruit, and fantastic views of sunrise over the sea.  Morning yoga practice on the lawn with breakfast to follow.  This is the day that the beach has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.  We journey by car  to our special spot at the top 10 rated most beautiful beach in the world.   “It has the distinction of Blue Flag, a classification awarded annually by the European Foundation.”  Our special chosen spot will be equipped with a cooler for refreshments.  We will be close to public bathrooms and beachfront food stands that deliver tropical treats to your beach chair ($10-20).  Options to rent a beach lounge chair and/or beach umbrella are available (~$20-30/person).  Options to support the local coconut ice cream vendor will also be available.   We return to our home in the afternoon to get refreshed and prepared to receive.  After a delicious dinner we settle in with fresh aloe for skin soothing, and sacred sounds as we greet the evening ocean breeze with a sound bath.  

Day 5 - Old San Juan

Another majestic sunrise… is it really possible?!?   We welcome the day with movement and then feast on tropical fruit, and other goodies for breakfast on-site.  Today we discover Old San Juan.  We journey to explore this gem of a city with a short walking tour including the historic botanical gardens, and art museums.  The options for shopping, and restaurants are endless.  Back at the beach house we have another afternoon and evening of fun with salsa dancing, and seaside stargazing on our own front lawn.  

Day 6 -  Costa Azul

Feel the ocean breeze in our special morning session of breathwork and sacred silk dance. After on-site breakfast we have freedom to explore the splendor of Costa Azul right in front of our house, walk to 10+ restaurants within 10 minutes. We offer guidance to different restaurants for lunch and dinner, and you get to explore the many choices that are available even when we stay in the area and walk. 

Day 7 - Freedom and FUN

Our final full day to soak in the island vibes to our fullest potential.  Watch the sunrise with a Puerto Rican coffee in hand.  Morning yoga flow on the beach then a fabulous tropical breakfast at our beach home.  Today is a day of choice, rides to any of the favorite spots are offered all day long.  

Day 8 - Departure Day

Catch your final beach sunrise of the trip.  Our movement & breathwork practice plus closing circle will be offered early so that you can enjoy a relaxed morning of breakfast and airport shuttle provided for you as well as travel tips, and airport guidance.

Extended Stay?

Arriving before Noon on the arrival Day 1 and departing after Noon on the departure Day 7 is absolutely possible and, if needed, additional accommodations and transportation can be arranged.  If you plan to come earlier or stay longer we can assist.  FYI: The Uber fee to our Luquillo from the airport is $100 and the standard accommodations in the Luquillo area are generally $200-300 per night.— Squarespace
